Roberto grew up being a runner, from the age of 7. He was part of a track and field league for the department of Bolivar in the city of Cartagena – Colombia. Being a local medalist, he had the opportunity to participate in local, regional and national championships giving him a vast experience in his sport but also the great opportunity to share the love of Christ with other athletes. Roberto now serves as the Latin America South Region 1 Director (Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia). Roberto developed an FCA team which serves in four different areas: Coaches, Competitors/Athletes, Camps and Community running the strategy of “To and Through the coach”.

As a basketball player and coach in Guatemala, I came to understand the platform sports gives to share Jesus Christ, and I believe God has called me to this unique ministry for the sake of the lost and for the sake of the church. I am a sportsman who plays sports in order to win other sportsmen to Christ. My wife joins me in this ministry as she used gymnastics and aerobics in the church to reach out to ladies most of whom are not saved. We are committed to helping the church understand and implement this strategic ministry in Argentina.
